How To Make a Flat Bottom Makeup Bag with Easy Zipper Tabs by Nicole Reed
The latest zipper pouch will always be posted at the top of this page. I use ByAnnie's zippers by the yard and cut them to size.
As of 8/29/19 I have one blog post on zipper pouches but will have more. Go to the right sidebar and find "zipper pouch" at the bottom of the Blog Archive if you are interested in reading more as time goes on. Ruth :)

Japanese fabric, a little heavier and linen like.
Some lovely Bewitching fabric from Deb Strain.
Black Essex linen with quilting cotton.
Essex linen surrounding some quilting cotton of Floral Pets.
Art Gallery fabric is fine and thin, and it worked out nicely with some black Essex linen on the sides.
A little larger pouch with Japanese fabric. Box corners.

The two top pouches are made using Lorrie Nunemarker's video Continuous Zipper Pouch - Fully Lined. Threading the zipper pull on the sewn pouch was the challenging part, and if that was a little easier, it's a fun bag to make. The bottom one is made exactly from the Fat Quarter Shop video listed above.
I've made several zippered pouches. They are the perfect fat quarter project. I had been purchasing several mystery fat quarter Free Spirit Bundles from Amazon (20 fq at $22 from their designer). Fantastical deal. However, some of the fabric is hard to utilize (color/pattern). They all look great as a zippered pouch--and the interior can allow for least favorites to get tucked away.
